We had Jack's 3 Year check-up earlier this week. He had to do many different things at the doctor that he has never had to do before like: take his blood pressure, read shapes on a chart from across the room with each eye to check his vision, and have his hearing checked. He did great for them all and was quite the trooper. Kudos to the nurses who told him about each thing they were going to do because it really helped him to be okay with it all. When we came home, he told Lyle that they, "Put a thing on my arm and it gave me a big squeeze like a hug." Jack was also very happy when Dr. Alexander told him that he didn't have to get any shots :)
Here are a few stats:
Height: 2' 11'' (4th percentile)
Weight: 28 lb 3.2 oz (13th percentile)
He is still on the little side (always has been) but is growing nicely on his own little curve.
Turning 3 has already been a challenge but yet, so much fun too!
**You have gotten a little Attitude! That can be so sweet and ornery within minutes.
** You are so helpful with your little brother and can help him reach things that he can't.
**You are Tall Enough to reach the toilet to stand up to pee
without the stool. You are so proud of this fact and it is so cute!
** For some reason, you are too Scared to sleep in your own bed and often end up sleeping on the floor in mommy and daddy's room. We are working on ways to help you sleep in your room all night but so far have not been too successful.
** You say the Funniest things and use Expressions that I didn't even know you knew how to use. You crack your daddy and I up every single day with your sayings.
**You are very Curious and are always asking questions and observing everything around you. I love this so much because you learn so many new things every day.
Love you to the moon and back Jack Dean!
